Linocut printed on tinted Arches representing a boy's face (Claude Picasso).

PROOF DEDICATED BY PICASSO TO YVONNE ZERVOS WIFE AND COLLABORATOR OF CHRISTIAN ZERVOS FOUNDER OF CAHIERS D’ART.

Beautiful calligraphy in ink on the front: “Author’s proof for Yvonne Zervos. Picasso »

This engraving was offered by Yvonne Zervos to René Char in 1968 as evidenced by our autograph in pencil on the back. René Char and Yvonne Zervos lived a romantic adventure.
A second handwritten note by René Char indicates on the back “Offered to Maurice Chartier by René Char, 1972”.
This portrait could well be that of Claude Picasso at 15 years old, we perceive strong resemblances including the presence of the gaze.

Magnificent pedigree: from Picasso to Yvonne Zervos then René Char !

Engraved with scraper and gouge on a linoleum on February 7, 1962 in Mougins (3rd and last state).
The proofs were printed by Arnéra.
Published by the Galerie Louise Leiris in 50 proofs on Arches vellum.
About twenty "artist's proofs" on the same paper signed, some dedicated.
