In Toute nuit désormais, or “Every Night from Now On,” Miró creates a mood of repetition, duration, and mystery. The title feels like a fragment of a poem, continuing the sequence of images that make up the Haï-Ku series. Miró’s art was closely connected to poetry throughout his career, from his early contact with literary circles to his later experiments with word and image. By 1967, he had fully developed a lithographic style based on bold signs, spare compositions, and intense color. This print does not narrate a scene but suggests a state of being. It is lyrical, open-ended, and nocturnal, turning a few visual elements into a poetic experience.
